Eliava Institute on Georgian Radio

On May 8, 2026, the Director of the George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology, Dr. Mzia Kutateladze, and the Head of the Department of Microbiology at Tbilisi State Medical University, Prof. Tamar Didberidze, were guests on the Georgian Radio program “Evening Rush Hour” .

The discussion focused on the ESCMID Postgraduate Education Course, a three-day international training event jointly hosted by Tbilisi State Medical University and the Eliava Institute from May 11–13, 2026.

During the interview, the speakers addressed current challenges in modern microbiology, antimicrobial resistance, and phage therapy, emphasizing the importance of professional education and the exchange of international expertise.
