Dr Michele Rivasi, Member of the European Parliament, an active member of the Healthcare Committee, and her advisers Tamar Gugulashvili, Camille Zakar, Marie-Alix Verhoeven and Maxence layet have visited the G. Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology. Mrs. Rivasi has been interested in phage therapy for a long time and this was the main purpose of her visit to Georgia and to the G.Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology. She was informed about ongoing activities at the Institute. Development of future cooperation, as well as possibilities for promotion and approval of phage therapy in Europe was discussed during the meeting.
