On February 11, 2026, Acting Director of the Eliava Institute, Dr Mzia Kutateladze, along with scientists Dr Nino Janelidze and Marita Chichashvili has participated in the event “Women in Biotechnology: Science and Innovation,” dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and held at the Parliament of Georgia.

Dr. Kutateladze spoke about her scientific career in microbiology and biotechnology, the history of the development of the Eliava Institute, and the Institute’s and its scientists’ outstanding contribution and significance in addressing modern global challenges, particularly in the fight against antimicrobial resistance.
