On September 16th, 2026 the G. Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology participated in a regional science festival, organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and held at the Batumi State University. The aim of the event is popularization of science among the young generation and introducing scientific achievements and activities taking place in Georgia. Young scientists from the Eliava Institute presented interesting, entertaining and interactive demonstrations to the guests. As part of the festival, visitors had the opportunity to get the information about bacteriophages, phage therapy as potential approach of treatment of infectious diseases and research activities of the Institute.
